Once you set a topic and its controlling idea, you can explain and support it by the following sentences of the paragraph.

fad: things people are interested in for a short period of time
              -> Brainstorm: Think about current trends.
-> Plan-1: Write a Topic Sentence-> How does the trend help people connect with others?
