Dear Advancing Classmates,

You knew that overweight and diabetes are both common  among developed countries where people drive more but exercise less. But probably you've never thought of them becoming widespread in China until last night. In China, those who have passed the age of 55 represent about 20% of the total population, which is larger than the total population of the fourth most populous country, Indonesia and double the one of Japan.

Come to think of the sheer number of people who already are or are becoming overweight, it's going to be a serious health, thus financial problem to the country and possibly to the world.
